So you are my masseuse? - I am, but if you would call me your massage therapist, I would greatly appreciate it. Since masseuse is an old fashioned french word, a lot of professionally trained people who provide massage therapy would like to be called massage therapists.
How often should I come for a massage? You can come as often as you can. Some people get it every week, others every now and then. I would say get a massage when your body requests it. I recommend at least once a month.
Do your hands get tired? - Thank you for being considerate, they actually do. That is why massage therapists have to charge what they charge, in order to limit their day to 5-6 hours of work, to provide a great service. Beware of chains or cruise ships where massage therapists have to work 8-10 hours a day.
I forgot to shave my legs, can I still come? - Of course! Shaved or not I will treat you to a great massage.
Should I eat before my massage. You shouldn't come hungry or too full. Try to eat 2 hrs before your massage. But please drink plenty of water that day. A well-hydrated body responds better to massage therapy.
I am heading to work out after my massage, I can right? - NO , don't do it. You will not be able to perform well and you will ruin the effect of the massage. Please don't do anything that requires much physical effort. Take it easy for the rest of the day.
Do you get massages? - Absolutely! Every other week.
I am going out to drink after my massage... - Please limit your alcohol intake to a minimum. If you drink a lot you can experience flu like symptoms the next day.
How can I use my Flexible Spending / Health Savings Account? - Please obtain a prescription and make sure your account will cover massage therapy, then just hand it to the receptionist to pay.
